Hao Yi graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2019. He chambered with MKP and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 2 December 2020. He has been a member of the Corporate and M&A Department of the firm since the commencement of his legal practice.

Hao Yi holds both mergers & acquisition exercises and capital markets experience, and has had particularly extensive experience on corporate and commercial advisory matters. He has assisted, amongst others, in advising on the following notable matters:

• Listing of A1 A.K. Koh Group Berhad on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia
• Listing of Paradigm Real Estate Investment Trust on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia
• Listing of Well Chip Group Berhad on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia
• Acquisition by Eurofins Scientific of shares in a private company involved in rubber analysis and testing and the business of another private company involved in environmental testing services.
• Acquisition by Citaglobal Berhad of the entire equity interest in Citaglobal Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd.
• Acquisition by Mitsui & Co (Asia Pacific) of MiCare HealthTEC Holdings Pte. Ltd. and its Malaysian subsidiary company, MiCare Sdn Bhd.
