Maya graduated in 2013 from the University of West of England, Bristol, United Kingdom and obtained the CLP in 2014. She chambered with Zain & Co. and was called to the Malaysian Bar in January 2016. Thereafter, she joined the firm as an Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department.

Maya has been handling a portfolio of civil and commercial litigation, construction litigation and arbitration, statutory adjudication, corporate and securities regulation litigation, dispute resolution and property and real estate litigation matters with the firm since being called to the Malaysian Bar. She has appeared as junior or lead counsel in adjudications, arbitrations, and at all levels of the Malaysian Court hierarchy.

Maya is an active sportsperson, with a keen interest in sporting activities, and is amongst others a member of the Malaysian Bar netball team. She has also sought to contribute to the legal profession by acting as a mentor/coach for young aspiring mooters.
