Kenneth Chong Kheng Aik

Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Master of Laws with Distinction (First Class) in Commercial Law, both from Northumbria University, UK. He also holds a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (MiArb). He was admitted as a Barrister-At-Law of Lincoln’s Inn, London in 2008 and as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2010. He joined Shen, Eow & Partners in 2010 (subsequently Raslan Loong, Shen & Eow) and was a partner of Raslan Loong, Shen & Eow since 2019 until joining MKP in January 2026.
Kenneth practices in the areas of intellectual property (IP), employment, and dispute resolution. He is a registered Patents, Trademarks and Industrial Designs agent in Malaysia and has extensive experience in IP registration and prosecution matters representing both domestic and foreign clients. He regularly conducts IP enforcement and Anton Piller Order actions. He also provides internal training for the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department in Malaysia and conducts presentations with local universities, companies and start-ups on various legal related topics.
Kenneth’s experience includes IP invalidation actions, passing-off actions, trademark and trade name infringement matters, IP right prosecutions and enforcement actions, proceedings against counterfeiters and parallel importers, resisting garnishing orders, and copyright infringement claims. He also works closely with patent drafters, inventors and clients in advising on patent applications and provides prior-art search services, freedom to operate reports and patent infringement reports. In addition, he advises on IP assets matters for tech companies, social media influencers and celebrities.
