LEE YEE PENG

PARTNER

Yee Peng holds a LL.B (Honours) from University of Malaya and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2000. Prior to joining MKP, Yee Peng held the position of Senior Legal Assistant at a large Kuala Lumpur-based corporate/commercial law firm. She joined MKP as a Senior Associate in 2004 and was admitted as a partner of the firm in 2012.

Yee Peng has extensive experience in corporate transactions such as share offerings, mergers and acquisitions, reconstructions and amalgamation of corporate finance matters. As an integral part of the advisory work that she has carried out on corporate transactions, Yee Peng has overseen and conducted numerous due diligence exercises and has in-depth knowledge of prevailing due diligence practices and procedures.

Yee Peng also has in-depth experience in the issuance of private debt securities, both conventional and Islamic papers, notes and bonds under various Islamic financing principles as well as bank and government-guaranteed bonds.

Presently, Yee Peng focuses her practices predominantly on property and banking matters including banking and security arrangements, real property transactions, residential and commercial developments as well as commercial leases and tenancies.

An enthusiast of arts and music, Yee Peng plays both the piano and guitar. She performed with the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre Orchestra the full works of G.F Handel’s Oratorio, Messiah in 2009. Yee Peng has a deep appreciation of all things hand-made and in her leisure time, enjoys craft and handiwork.
