Wenny was conferred a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Reading (UK) in year 2009 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Skills (BVC) from City University London. She chambered with the firm of Azman Davidson & Co and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 9 March 2012. She practiced with Azman Davidson & Co subsequent to her call to the Malaysian Bar, handling corporate and commercial law matters. She has handled various forms of M&A, capital markets and real estate matters since joining MKP as an Associate in October 2014. She was promoted to the position of Senior Associate on 1 January 2018.
Amongst the recent transactions that she has handled are the RM200 million acquisition by Gamuda Berhad of a 30% equity stake in ERS Energy Sdn Bhd (a Malaysian solar EPCC company), the acquisition by ASX-listed Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (the largest franchisee for the Domino’s Pizza brand in the world) of 240 stores in Malaysia via its acquisition of Dommal’s Food Services Sdn. Bhd., the acquisition by a subsidiary company of Grab Holdings Ltd of Jaya Grocer Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and the listing of Optimax Holdings Berhad on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia as well as its subsequent Main Market transfer of listing status exercise.
Wenny is quite an accomplished pianist, holding a Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (DipABRSM), Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music in Piano Performing (LRSM) and Associate in Piano Solo Recital, Trinity College London (ATCL – Diploma).
